Grief Support for Kids
Grief Support for Kids is a support group for those who are grieving from the death of a loved one in their family. It is designed for children in Kindergarten through age 13. (Childcare vouchers are available for younger children.) This support group is currently available to the children of parents, grandparents and caregivers/guardians that have attended or will attend The Creek's Adult GriefShare Program which is held during the same time.
This group will provide a safe place for children to talk about their loss and help them move through the grief process toward healing. There will be structured play time, crafts, small groups, and snack time. This is not counseling or therapy, rather fellowship in a group setting for children who are experiencing similar circumstances in life. The group will be facilitated by Christians who care about children and have attended training.
